Peralta OER Canvas Shell

CANVAS logo

This is a gathering place for Peralta faculty interested in reducing textbook costs for their students (all the way down to zero) by using Open Educational Resources (OER) and other zero-cost materials for their classes.
All faculty should have been added to this class as an instructor, so that you have full permission to change anything or add anything (please be careful in deleting anything, if it is not a page you created or a material you uploaded; you can remove things from Modules without deleting the underlying material)

CANVAS Commons

Canvas Commons

CANVAS Commons is a learning object repository that enables educators to find, import, and share resources. A digital library full of educational content, Commons allows Canvas users to share learning resources with other users as well as import learning resources into a Canvas course.

With Commons, you can:

  • Create a personal learning object repository
  • Build a course from scratch with relevant materials shared by other Canvas users
  • Create a name for yourself and your institution as a subject matter expert
